Services and scope
Each commercial engagement is governed by an accepted quote or Statement of Work describing language pair, deliverables, deadlines, review level, client responsibilities, and fees.
Payment
Deposits, invoicing terms, international transfer charges, withholding, taxes, and late payment terms are defined in the applicable proposal or agreement.
Confidentiality and intellectual property
Confidentiality obligations, ownership of final deliverables, permitted use of translation memories, and pre-existing intellectual property are addressed in signed project documents.
Deadlines and client changes
Delivery dates depend on timely access to complete source material, instructions, reviewers, and approvals. Client changes may affect scope, fees, and deadlines.
Cancellation and limitations
Cancellation charges, warranties, limitations of liability, and remedies require agreement in the governing commercial documents.
Responsible technology and data
The project agreement will identify any authorized automation, required security controls, and restrictions on use of public AI or third-party systems.
Governing terms
Governing law, dispute procedures, notices, and the order of precedence among the Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work, quote, NDA, and other documents must be finalized by counsel.
